GT BMX was established in 1972 by Gary Turner and Richard Long in Santa 
Ana, California. The story began when Turner, a seasoned drag racer and 
talented welder, crafted a strong yet lightweight BMX frame for his son 
using 4130 chromoly tubing. This groundbreaking design quickly garnered 
attention at BMX tracks, paving the way for the creation of GT Bicycles. 
Renowned for their exceptional frames and signature triple triangle design, 
GT rose to prominence in BMX racing and freestyle, supporting top athletes 
and influencing the sport's development.
