Swallow BMX tires have an interesting connection to the Schwalbe brand. In 1973, Ralf Bohle, the founder of Schwalbe, imported bicycle tires from South Korea to Germany under the name "Swallow." The name was inspired by the swallow bird, a symbol of good luck in Korea. These tires were well-received in Germany, which was the largest market at the time. Eventually, the Swallow brand evolved into Schwalbe, which became a global leader in bicycle tire innovation2.
