Torker BMX was founded in 1977 by Johnson Engineering in Fullerton, California. The brand gained recognition for its innovative BMX frames, including the iconic "Torker" frame with a twin top-tube design. Torker also played a key role in the early days of freestyle BMX, manufacturing the first Haro Freestyler frames. Despite filing for bankruptcy in 1984, the Torker name was later revived and remains a nostalgic favorite in BMX history.
